Do we advocate for our senior community?

Mike Riversdale • July 7, 2025

Absolutely!

We represent all seniors on a number of groups and committees from the Horowhenua District Council Older Persons' Network to local hui and networking events. If you'd like to know more, have a particular issue raised, or want to come along and see what happens then please get in touch.

At a national level Age Concern New Zealand represent all of our communities and make submissions about proposed Government legislation, meet with national agencies and organisations to ensure all senior voices are heard! Want more info, check out their Submissions page: https://www.ageconcern.org.nz/Public/Public/News_and_events/Submissions_1.aspx

However, if you really want to get amongst it and make a difference to the community - get into the corridors of power and pull those levers!
